Quiet space, nice conditions, wonderful staff and wine!
An oasis in the middle of Alentejo. A perfect holiday spot to unwind and relax with a great synergy with wine tourism. Beautiful scenery, super hospitable staff in a refurbished typical monte from Alentejo. Second time already and will come back again for sure.
Grt place to spend few days in serenity.. bycycle... Swimming..... board football...pool.wii..and many other activities.. does not serve lunch or breakfast but you can easily find good restaurants within five kilometers... Nice view..fields..lakes...birds... Excellent place to visit
Herdade das Fontes Barbaras is a fantastic place to stay for anyone looking for the peace and quiet of the countryside, with fantastic wine, scenery and service that goes beyond the call of duty. Patrícia and Diogo are wonderful hosts, who clearly place an enormous sense of pride in their business and the value of their guests. My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children) stayed in the Guesthouse, which is a real home away from home. It can easily take 6 guests. The countryside is serene, yet only an hour or so from Lisbon or Faro. For us it was a pleasant contrast between our stays in Lisbon and the Algarve.
Very friendly and super accomodation. Nice swimming pool. And very nice people.
